My name is David Johns. This Website exists to share a new perspective on hunting and fishing.

I believe wild places harden you and our continual involvement in them is necessary to discover our true identity.  Mountains, deserts, canyons, tundras, and woodlands.  We venture into them as clay and leave as stone.  To me, a wilderness pursuit means traveling beyond the unknown, both on the landscape and inside yourself. Hunting and fishing connects us to this experience.  Preparing and eating wild food reminds us of this experience each meal. Training our bodies instills the ethics and discipline needed to kill an animal well.  Perspectives shift when we remove layers of disconnection with the natural world around us.
